Beyond my artistic pursuits, I am dedicated to being your trusted companion throughout your wedding or elopement journey.
If you’re searching for the perfect spot for dreamy, romantic engagement photos, Filoli Gardens engagement photography should be at the top of your list. When Stella and Eric picked Filoli Historic House & Garden for their engagement session, I literally did a happy dance! Seriously, this place is a photographer’s dream come true. It has everything: vibrant flowers, elegant architecture, and tons of natural beauty. Also, as an added bonus, Filoli doesn’t require complicated photography permits, just the standard entrance fee!
Filoli Gardens sits on over 650 beautiful acres in Woodside, California. Built in 1917, this historic mansion feels like it came straight out of a Jane Austen novel. Everywhere you look, there’s stunning scenery, lush gardens, and endless colorful blooms. Each little corner feels like a secret hideaway created specifically for dreamy garden engagement sessions.
Honestly, I could photograph couples here every day and always discover new, magical spots. There’s just something special about Filoli that instantly makes you feel romantic and relaxed. And since there’s only a regular entrance fee (no photography permit needed—yay!), planning your engagement session here is stress-free. As a wedding photographer, keeping things relaxed for my couples is always my top priority!
Stella and Eric booked their Filoli Gardens engagement photography session as part of their wedding package. They’re tying the knot this August at Park Winters (I can’t wait!). Like many couples, they were initially a bit nervous about being photographed. Which is exactly why I always encourage booking an engagement session with your wedding photographer. (Here’s why that’s a great idea!)
But honestly, any worries Stella and Eric had melted away within minutes. Turns out, these two are total naturals in front of the camera! Throughout the session, they grew comfortable with my shooting style and discovered exactly which prompts made them laugh or feel relaxed. In the end, we were laughing like old friends. Also, most importantly, they walked away feeling confident and excited about their wedding day photos. (That’s always the best part for me!)
Stella and Eric’s style for their Filoli Garden engagement session was absolutely timeless. Stella wore a vintage-inspired white dress paired with elegant strappy heels, while Eric looked effortlessly handsome in a fitted suit. Basically, these two looked like stars from a classic Hollywood movie. All in all, their entire vibe was romantic elegance!
We captured a beautiful mix of classic portraits and natural, candid moments. One of my favorite memories was photographing them twirling gracefully in the grand ballroom beneath the chandeliers. Later, we wandered brick pathways, stopping for intimate photos beside vibrant florals and ivy-covered walls. We also took some relaxed images near Filoli’s serene pool area. (Scroll through their engagement photo gallery to see all the gorgeous details!)
Feeling inspired by Stella and Eric’s dreamy engagement photos? If so, I’d love to chat about planning your own session at Filoli Gardens! Whether you’re newly engaged or busy planning your upcoming wedding day, engagement sessions are a beautiful way to celebrate this exciting season.
