Beyond my artistic pursuits, I am dedicated to being your trusted companion throughout your wedding or elopement journey.
What a fun adventure! Working on this intimate destination wedding with Dream Team wedding
planner Haley Nyal was magical. The gorgeous Airbnb, the luxurious details, and everything in between
came together perfectly. I also have to tell you that this tablescape will forever be one of my absolute
favorites! Plus, Hapa Films, one of my favorite videographers to work with, shot this wedding with me.
Kenzie and Bucky wanted their wedding to be intimate, intentional, and true to their love. So, they kept
the guest list very small, inviting only their closest friends and family. They also included their dogs
because, obviously, the whole family needed to be part of this day. In the end, Kenzie and Bucky’s day
felt more like an elopement than a typical wedding. And I love that!
An Intimate Destination Wedding Ceremony Surrounded by Nature
The venue for the day was the Yosemite National Park-area Airbnb Lotus Falls. This creekside property
was, without a doubt, one of the most gorgeous vacation rentals I’ve ever seen. The bride and groom
rented the main house and detached villa for both the wedding day and a weekend getaway for the
whole family. Overall, so many things about this wedding design were inspired by the venue. Its earth
tones, elegant architecture, and strong connection to nature were stunning.
In the gallery, you’ll see how the ceremony decor revolves around nature. The florals were beautiful and
understated. And the clear chairs and pillars kept attention on the creek views. The guests also took
their cues from nature. Everyone wore neutrals and warm earth tones. Meanwhile, the bride looked
stunning in her timeless gown and floor-length veil. It was a gorgeous ceremony.
The Most Romantic Candlelight Reception
Then, after some more romantic portraits, it was time to celebrate! The bride, Kenzie, changed into a
fun, sparkly gown and put her hair into an updo for the reception. Then, everyone sat down for dinner
just as the light started to fade.
When I tell you this tablescape came to life when the sun set, I mean it! It was all about the candlelight.
Candles of different heights filled each table’s center, creating a warm, intimate feel. Honestly, the
candlelight was everything this intimate destination wedding needed!
After dinner and toasts, the dancing started. I had so much fun capturing the authentic joy and love on
that dance floor. Then, when they brought out the confetti, it just made the whole evening even better.
I loved it!
