Big Sur Elopement

An ELOPEMENT day in Big Sur, California…

The morning started at 6:30am with getting the bride’s hair and makeup ready at Aria Collective in Midtown Sacramento! The makeup was done Aria Weddings and the hair was done by Hair by Kourtney! Our bride looked absolutely stunning! We had some country and worship music playing and it created such a vibe to start the morning and make sure our bride was relaxed! She sipped her coffee and got fixed up by the best!

By 8:30am the bride (hair and makeup done but in her comfy sweats), groom, wedding planner and I (photographer) were loaded up in the car and heading out of Sacramento and towards the coast!

Our first stop was at the Bixby Bridge! We were able to get the first parking spot and it was the perfect day! Slight breeze, sunny sky, not too chilly and the bride and groom were beaming from ear to ear! We got photos on both sides of the bridge! I loved the way the wind caught her veil and flew it gently with the breeze!

Next we headed towards Garrapata Bluff Trail! Here we ventured through the Cliffside! We popped champagne, hiked and admired the views and made our way down to the beach!

We ditched our shoes on the beach and ran around like school kids! The bride and groom were wildly in love and danced along the sand to the sound of the waves mixing with their first dance song!

We ended golden hour back on the cliffside catching every last ray of sun and holding on to the most perfect elopement day!

Before heading back to Sacramento, we grabbed pizza and bundled up against the nightly coastal chill! It was the best day!
