Romantic California Vineyard Wedding: A Magical Love Story

Jessica and Thomas’s romantic California vineyard wedding can be perfectly described with two words: refined realness. This couple is so beautifully in love. And I adored capturing their silver screen-worthy moments throughout this magical wedding day. Honestly, if you want proof that Disney-magic, soulmate, forever-kind-of-love stories still exist, wait until you see the way these two look at each other!

Getting Ready at Black Oak Mountain Vineyards

Thomas and Jessica enjoyed every moment of their day at this luxurious, resort-like venue. In fact, the couple even took a sunrise swim and enjoyed their morning coffee beside the pool. Perfection!

Later, the bridesmaids lounged by the pool in their adorable matching pajamas. Meanwhile, Jessica began the getting-ready process with the talented Sacramento bridal makeup artist Sarah Nika. Sarah focused her glamming efforts on enhancing the bride’s natural beauty. Jessica felt her best and truly shone when Sarah completed her glowy look for this romantic California vineyard wedding.

Then, I set Thomas and Jessica up for their first look. And the results were just as adorable as expected. Thomas couldn’t stop smiling as he took in every detail of Jessica’s bridal look. He couldn’t stop telling her how beautiful she looked! I loved witnessing Jessica’s enthusiasm as she showed off the pockets sewn into her dress. Plus, Thomas beamed with pride as he retold how he managed to tie his bowtie perfectly on the first try.

All in all, I’m not exaggerating when I say these two are the sweetest couple. After the first look, Jessica and Thomas exchanged private vows at the ceremony location. I had to hold back tears so I could focus on capturing the beautiful moment! Then, it was time for some fun photos with the bridal party before the ceremony began.

A Timelessly Romantic California Vineyard Wedding

One of the couple’s close friends officiated the wedding ceremony, and it was so perfect. I especially loved how he told the bride and groom to pause, be present in the moment, and take in their guests, their parents, and each other. Then, after Thomas and Jessica were officially declared husband and wife, we captured some family photos full of hugs, love, and well-wishes.

When it came time to enter their romantic California vineyard wedding reception, the newlyweds were all smiles! They came in and went straight into a choreographed first dance, complete with a lift. It was truly impressive. After dinner, my second shooter, amazing Sacramento photographer Morgan Alanna, and I stole Thomas and Jessica away for romantic sunset bridal portraits. In the end, we couldn’t resist posing these two in the estate’s epic bathtub with a bottle of champagne. So luxurious and intimate!

Finally, the rest of the night flew by in the best way. Everyone celebrated and showed their love for this incredibly deserving couple. All in all, this is one of my favorite spring wedding galleries ever! This love story was like something from a 1920s French romance novel, and I am honored to have captured it.
